My 1966 Mustang Convertible
This is my 1966 Mustang convertible I have for sale.
It is beautifully restored and is rust free. It has a V8, 3 speed manual trans., power top, AM radio, console and steel styled wheels. It is in the original color - vintage burgundy which is a dark red. Vin number is 6F08C267971. Interior is black with a black top. The car has spent all it's life until very recently in the high dry desert of eastern Washington, originally Richland and then Yakima.
The car is registered and licensed in British Columbia. I live in South Surrey in BC and work in Blaine Washington and it is my daily driver on dry days. Therefore, the car can be seen and possession taken at either location. I have a valid Washington state title and a current BC title.
I purchased the car last spring and the prior owner had it for 12 years. The car is rust free. The paint was checked and badly faded (probably the original paint) so we had it painted, basecoat/clearcoat. To register and license an out of province car the British Columbia government requires the car pass a detailed inspection. It passed everything except the brakes. We fixed the brakes and then the car passed 100%. It has new brakes - four new drums, shoes, front hoses and cylinders including the master. It has a new radiator, hoses, battery and ignition parts. The tires are like new with about 1,000 miles. The steel styled wheels are new. I replaced the emblems but the rest of the chrome parts look good so I left them as they are. The clutch works nice and smooth with no chatter. The motor is quiet and runs well. It looks to be the original and has a 2 barrel carb. The exhaust looks to be fairly new. Everything works on the car. The tinted glass is clear with no scratches or pitts. The steering and suspension are in good condition and the car drives real nice. Unlike a lot of 40+ years old cars, the wiring is flexible and not cracked or butchered up.
I had all the seats reupholstered with a correct kit, it has new carpet, dash bezel, door panels, arm rest bases and pads. Wherever the weatherstrip looked worn it was replaced. It has a new convertible top and rear window. I did the car up in preparation of my upcoming retirement and then a drive around Canada and the US but due to some changing circumstances and my health that is not possible. The car could make the trip but I am not so sure about me.
Please bear in mind that this is a forty one years old car and I have tried to describe it as accurately as possible. Please look at the photos. If you have any questions you can call me at 360-305-4877. If there is no answer please leave a message and I'll try and get back to you as soon as possible. You can also email me at tonysmycar@hotmail.com but I don't check it that often so a phone call is much quicker.
A buyer can take possession in Blaine or Vancouver. It is licensed in BC with a valid title and all taxes paid. I also have the title from the prior owner in Yakima WA so title is not a problem to a US purchaser.

My steering wheel is centered. After pulling ino my drive I forgot to center the wheel before taking these photos.
